How do you measure intelligence? I think IQ tests are a joke and intelligence can be measured in all sorts of different ways.
That said, your average left winger tends to have more education.Like (2)

Left and Right part of a brain control two different modes of "thinking".Each of us have one part dominant in us.Left brains are more logical,ob
jective and looks at parts whereas right brains are subjective, artistic, intuitive, looks at bigger picture. And this earth needs both left and right wing...so one can not declare any of one as a "more intelligent" ba sed on these parameters. Like (1)

Nobody is really truly left or right. Were all in the middle somewhere and besides being so far left or right it doesn't work. I mean If you're so far left you actually believe that somebody owes you a job, citizenship and a heart transplant, you're mentally ill. If you're so far right that you actually believe that somebody who doesn't have a job and is not a citizen deserves to have their heart cut out and sold on eBay, and you get to keep 80 percent of the profit you're mentally ill. Left and right I believe just splits us up and makes us p*ssed at eachother instead of the people that are really screwing up everything.

I don't think it is an intelligence issue. I think that there are very intelligent individuals on each side. I think that what determines political bent generally has to do with how you view right and wrong as reflected in issues like personal freedoms, the value of human life, justice, the role of government, etc. Those have more to do with values than they do with intellect.

And the same people that seem stupid to you might feel that your view is stupid. There's a difference between a stance based on values and ideology and a stance based on lack of knowledge. Differences between right and left are usually about things such as basic human rights, protection under the law, environment versus commerce, gay marriage, abortion, free speech, and that sort of thing that reflect more solidly on someone's moral stance or values system than they do on actual IQ or intellectual ability. It's true that to the left the right's arguments seem "stupid", but the right feels the same way about the left's. There are extremely intelligent and capable people on either side of that aisle. That's one reason there is a left and right. They are divided by values systems and personal interests far more than they are by anything else.Like (1)

Right wingers live in a world of fear and hate, constantly protecting themselves from everyone and everything around them.
We lefties are curious about life. Open to differences and new experiences. It makes our brains, and hearts and souls, work better!Like (1)

You'r making that statement on today's right wing. The right has been overtaken by loonies. If someones family has lived somewhere for 400 years and they want to talk about immigration and make a plan calling them racist is not soulful. But the left thinks the fact there helping immigrants means they can shut down debate screaming racist. I support Immigration I just understand everyones fear.Like (1)

Ok, where is your evidence to support this claim? I would say that your tring to fr
ame a question that would lead you to the answer you wish which is that left is more intelligent than right. I would dispute this and say that this is an over generilization of the facts and is simply a ploy to hold your nose up high. Like (1)

I consider the brightest minds as belonging to those who do not limit their thoughts to a label or particular category. They are open to more possibilities and points of view.
