with all these technologies coming out that our kids are using they will be once they grow up. i grew up on the border of the generation gap before everything got all "kid friendly and easy" i did yard work, chopped firewood , and built a tree fort in my spare time amoung other things. i did not have all these things that make everything easy i had to work at it tooth and nail with blood sweat and tears. kids today can just press a button and not have to do anything else to acomplish something.

Yessir. I feel like most men in today's world wouldn't be able to protect their females, or their families, if a dangerous situation occured. Too much coddling in today's world, freaking everyone getting trophies and crap like that when they were little. You have to fail before you can succeed!

I agree with "PsychadelicCow" above. Look at the photos. Compare photos of men in their late teens, thru 20s from 1920 - 1960 with the same today. Men today grew up eating way too much fat. Fat holds certain chemicals which resemble estrogen. Products contained in some plastics contain estrogen-like chemicals. PVC pipes also shed estrogen-like chemicals. The effect accumulate gradually, there is no one culprit, the criminal leaves few footprints, but the end effects are obvious. In the womb, fetuses are exposed to these chemicals, even in tiny doses, there may be an effect on the physical sexual characteristics of the infant. And also on the psychological sense of self of the person who grows. My personal decision is to buy organic when and wherever possible.
Now, this question puts the 'softness' question in terms of east and west. I am quite confident that when you compare the diets of the east and west, you will find that in areas which still eat the locally grown, hormone free diet, which may draw water from wells, or rely on a clay pipe system you will not find this 'softness' in the men. But even in those countries, those families whose diet starts to include western foods, western packaging, western farming practices - look at their sons.Like (2)

Not soft or feminine... what is happening is that they have become tamed, and domesticated... It's gotten to the point where a random idiot who bucks a few times is seen as wild or untamed.... when the fact is that you never see wild... because they are not where you are.

Compare photos. Google men in the 1900s (1920s, 40s, 50s, 80s, etc) and compare them to the guys today. The answer is obvious.

I think people are far to concerned about what is perceived as being feminine and masculine rather than just doing what they enjoy.
