    I've been looking for a rich woman for years but all they seem to do is spend my savings and claim to have nothing but credit card debts, gradually spending everything. I must have been a mug.

    Nope. Although they undoutably exist they're clearly not in large enough numbers for the popular conciousness to acknowledge them, so they are not known as such.

    Then again the popular conciousness is watching x-factor, American idol, and reading gossip mags. I suppose we should be greatful they can read.

    Nothing idotic about it. If someone says golddigger no-one thinks of a man. It might be PC and popular to say otherwise but it simply isn't true.
