Absolutely, but when the people elect politicians with a stated goal to obstruct rather than accomplish, they can't really complain when things move slowly as a result.
Well, WE did elect them---or at least YOU did (LOL), so the problem starts with the electorate.
How are they a scapegoat? They're a symptom. Someone with a cold isn't wrong to complain about having a runny nose. Pointing out that politicians are useless is absolutely relevant to a discussion of politics, as long as you don't stop there.
Oh yeah, definitely! They're not all bad...but there are some seriously rotten ones out there!
They're well paid to serve their constituencies aren't they? Get great benefits, healthcare, vacation pay, retirement?
My instinct is to say yes, but I think they need to be leaders and solve problems. When you look at how they just follow party lines and don't solve problems that the rest of us don't really have time to research, I think they are truly at fault.
Nope. Politicians are responsible. A scapegoat is not.
