Actually there could be young adults/teens on here who have been raised Amish, but not yet committed themselves to BEING Amish. When I went on a tour of Amish country a few years back, we were told that Amish teens are allowed a period of time when they can involve themselves with things like driving cars and such without being shunned from the Amish community, but that they must make a decision by a certain age (I can't remember if it was 18 or 20 or what) and after that, if they have committed to the Amish lifestyle they are expected to follow it. Otherwise, they are expected to leave.
yep, they are allowed to travel and all. then decide
Wonder if the Amish will adopt me? I'd love to live a simple life. I'd probably get bored & go crazy.
theres a lot of cleaning and cooking sewing, gardening. Blah. You wouldnt be bored. You'd be tired.
I enjoy cleaning, sewing & baking....cooking not so much. Don't think I could handle wearing those clothes either. I prefer black & heels.
Strange. I was thinking this just a few minutes ago
