When there is no embassy present in a foreign country, that means that we have closed every avenue of peaceful negotiation with that foreign nation, and we have cut off all American citizens living in that country from aid.

Only during extreme conflicts have we ever closed our embassies and evacuated our personnel. This film has set fire to a certain element in the Middle East, and whether all of our embassies in all Middle Eastern countries are now in danger and should be evacuated is in question. I believe we should be on standby.

Aren't we trying to help the people there or something? That is why we can't do much.

None at all. I'm for complete divestment from Islamic countries. We don't need their oil and we sure as h*ll don't need their religion. Let them murder one another. It's what their best at.

sadly the answer to this question is way to complex to even bother putting here in order to better understand politics study history and human psychology, and no it isn't as simple as just picking up our toys and going home just like it isn't oh lets just forget the national deficit and start over w a clean slate this isn't a reality show it is life with a gazillion different viewpoints and so many factors in place it would make your head spin

I'm not sure why we're not taking the attacks more seriously. American embassies are part of the American nation. These are actually attacks on our nation.

Those who ignore the mistakes of history are doomed to repeat them...With that statment let me remind you of two wars that most have forgotten about,
Korea which was labeled a police action and was never fully resolved,
Vietnam Which has been labeled a conflict and our military was not allowed to exercise its full potential because of the politics.
The greatest frustration that I know of is the Politicians who think they know how to win a war with talk and political gestures.
