Last time I looked, we hadn't learnt an awful lot from the past.

Yes. The only difference now is that we have advanced so far technologically that we are teaching machines how to think for us...hmmm, somehow I sense that we are digressing in many aspects. Relying too much perhaps, on technology? I mean, the other day, my daughter said she needed to go to a friends house to look up some stuff on the internet. I said, "No you don't, I have a book". She said, "Yea, but it probably won't have what I need." As it turned out, the book answered all the questions she had. Pretty soon we won't even be necessary...and the world will carry on.

In learning about the future we get the knowledge encompassing all time. This learning can be got partly in nature, in our being and more completely in the Books of God.
