Are Women better off being single than they were 50 years ago today ?

Do you believe this to be so. That Women in todays world are better of being non married
now than they were 50 years ago. During the segregation era, when Women did not have many rights like they did after the Womens Movement. What do you think.

Is This A Good Question? (3)

People, every living thing in this world needs a companion when it lives... so women also need men to care and protect them.. Men also need women for compassion...

Marriages dont work out because, the patience and tolerance that existed some 20 years ago in hearts of the people is becoming less and less everyday... People want everything fast, starting from food to relationships - if nobody has time to stand and stare at the wonderful things life, i bet one day all good things will vanish including the beautiful marriage ceremony... Then we can only read about it in old novel :(

I think it only seems this way because far more people today are in relationships to "get" something ....rather than to "give" something. When you marry someone, you give them the keys to your life ...the security access codes to all of your secrets.

People today are more like bank robbers. Married couples today are more like partnered bank robbers .....hating each other, but only "together" for their share of the 50 million dollar jewels being heisted. And eager to kill each other off ...if it would mean more for "me".

In a situation like this, who would want to give the other the access codes for their lives??

I hate to say, I agree.

Same for men also. As a man, why bother risking the loss of half of your investments to someone who may not want to be attached to you long term anyway? I love my wife but I never understood this concept in law.

Why risk wasting half of your life marrying someone only to figure out 30 years later that they were cheating on you the entire time? I've seen this happen before. Some ****** up ****.

Agreed. People like that should never get married in the first place.

I think that no one, man or woman is better off alone. It's just biological more than political.

They are much better off. They have many more options as far as career choices and more support if they should find them-selves in abusive situations. The inequality is slowly evening out, I think...

I suppose so. Just about everyone is better off alone. There are too many examples as to why.
