Are women impressed by men who have motorcycles? Do men think women are attracted by motorcycles?
I'm asking this for several reasons. I'm wondering if the average woman finds them to be a turn on, and I'm wondering if men think they are. I just looked at some male profiles on a dating site, and so many of the men write that they have motorcycles. In their photo album, there are usually 3 photos...the man, his kid or his dog, and his motorcycle. (Well, there was that one guy who had shots of his tattoos in the second slot.)
lol
Are these guys posting pics of their bikes because they think it will attract women, or is it just because they identify themselves so strongly with their motorcycles? And do women consider owning a motorcycle to be a plus in a man?

From the main poster, to the former marine who kick boxes. What does it really matter? Riding is a form of comfortability and expression of who someone is. If someone identifies themselves as a rider of a motorcycle then that is just what it is. Just like women ask for a man that is genuine and kind hearted (usually women will say this either because hey have delt with an *******,or it is a turn on), however, have you taken a look at all these people that have a negative outlook on riders? Maybe these guys think it's Turn on to find a woman that will ride with them! Or maybe it is a forewarning to those who have such a negative outlook on riders that they will not give up the thing they love. People think to damn much, they want everyone to accept them for who they are,but are unwilling to do the same in return. People ride for the same reason people **********, it makes them feel good, free, and excited. Take it for what it is, and roll with it.
Live free, ride fast, and screw what society tells you what's right.

Jeez! No wonder so many of you are single. LOL!
se price of our motorcycle is usually more than your car. We generally work and make decent money, which guess what... Women find attractive. And to those chickies who are too prude to get on a bike with a guy... THERE YOU GO! You're no fun and that's not attractive. What? You think the guy you are seeking on that dating site must be humorous and confident, but you get to be an old ninny? OK then. Do it your way.
The guys here apparently can't afford bikes or are too afraid to ride and are bitter toward the riders out there who are indeed "picking up chicks" simply because they ride. Sorry to burst the bubbles folks, but guitars do the same thing for guys. Yes... Yes they do!
And you chicks who watch too much Sons of Anarchy and think bikers are stinky, dirty, etc, except for Jax because he shows you his bum... Don't forget that the ba
Then of course there's the adventurous spirit, the courage and confidence that good riders display... Listen up and stop fooling yourself. Fun chicks dig guys with bikes. Stiff chicks?... Not so much.
That doesn't mean every guy who rides is the coolest dude ever. He could be a dink, but a lot more chicks are gonna take him for a test ride to find out. Just sayin'! Believe me if you want, or keep asking questions like this about the dating sites you frequent.

A long time ago I used to ride. A gave it up for the first time when a buddy of mine was killed in an accident while riding his bike in bad weather. I swore off motorcycles for good when I was living in Bahrain. My self and a Seabee friend were riding in the desert. We heard gunfire and a few rounds whizzing by. We had ridden too far south and were on the Emir's private hunting preserve.
I took that as a sign from the Goddess to stay off bikes.

There are certain character traits associated with motorcycles. Love of freedom, experiencing life fully, risk taking, adventurousness, physical fitness, confidence, courage. Men think these are important and advertize them when trying to find a mate. Like tatoos. It is a display activity, just like a peacock.
Kids are supposed to show responcibility and fertility.
By the way...I have a motorcycle. Two actually. A 1994 Kawasaki 1000 Police and a Kawasaki 250 dirt bike. I have ridden bikes since I was 20. Dangerous, challenging and fun.

My opinion would be that a man that doesn't carry enough self-confidence and security about his own ability to attract a female without needing something material to enhance that image..... is not a good catch. Same goes for flashy cars, etc.

I guess that motorcycles have that rebellion tag to them....there's a sense of adventure.....and of a free spirit....
Do I find them sexy? It's the person that you fall for, not their stuff, isn't it?
Samantha xx

I believe that if you are have a bike or are looking to get a bike to attract someone, you are probably going to end up getting hurt either physically or financially. I have been riding since I was 17 and I love the feeling and experience of riding. I ride for me and not to impress anyone else. I also want a woman to share that with me. That being said, I have experiences that prove that there are women out there who are attracted to guys because they ride. I can also say that there are women out there that are turned off by guys that ride.
I would assume that guys in posting pictures of their bikes are posting them to show their interests. Personally, I have been riding most of my life and I expect my significant other to enjoy riding too or to at least be ok with me riding. However, I am sure there are at least some people who own motorcycles are posting pictures trying to impress someone else.
A woman that owns a bike is a plus to a guy that rides as he knows she won’t try to make him get rid of his bike. Also, women who have bikes tend to be adventurous, so if you are into personality profiling prior to dating someone, then yes a woman with a bike can be a plus.

To "smartypantz"
Just try riding on the back of a bike with a nice down to earth man who just wants to go shoot pool, get a few beers and listen to rock and roll. Try it once and if you still only value the highly intellectual man with the fancy sports car then so be it. Would love to have someone like you on the back of my bike just enjoying a coastal sunset while you embrace my chest, admire my strong biceps and smell my light cologne and my silky pony tail tickles your nose. Cheers

Personally just want to get it for the experience and the thrill! Started driving clutch and loved it so why not take it to the next level. hopefully wont put off a douchebag vibe tho that's what most peoples opinions sound like on here.

I am so not attracted to men who ride motorcycles! I am more of an intellectual type and would be attracted to a man who drives an expensive sports car vs. one who drives a motorcycle. I think motorcycles are obvious phallic symbols. They're huge and they go between your legs - hello! Any questions?

bikes say something about the one who owns them but to tell exactly what it is you really have to see them ride it. from that you can tell if its just to pick up chicks/look cool or if it really is a major part of their life which would usually point out a more genuine, real attachment to the bike. anyone who rides only for the image wouldnt be worth a second look in my oppinion. just my 2 cents.
imo there is nothing sexier than a chick riding a bike with confidence, that ponytail helmet combo really does it for me.
i usually find the guys hating on hardcore riders (loud bikes ect.) are the same ones who whine about the "alpha male" type guys, they are intimidated and maybe a little bit jelous, you can tell because they will express their views in front of you in sullen tones and wont even look you in the eye, they also wouldnt be worth a second look. when it comes down to it i guess it would depend on the individual girl/guy as with everything. i personally ride and customise for my own enjoyment and nothing else i would still put it on a fb profile or whatever because riding is an intergral part of me, its part of who i am, same as guys who have a surfboard in their pic so why the hell wouldnt someone include that in their profile?

Every man feels his manhood is getting bigger when he rides between the traffic lanes through road congestions. And of course it's makes him more confident in himself and strong in everyday life. And that is what attracts women
(Sorry for my terrible English)

I've never been really impressed by guys BECAUSE they have a motorcycle, but I'm not really turned off by it either. The guy himself is a little bit more important. Especially considering that most guys with bikes are either posers or jerks.

I'm 47, and ride a sport bike. After years of raising a wonderful family, and little or no time/money for myself, I finally splurged. You can say I am trying to relive my youth, which is somewhat true. But it is really living life after a bit of self repression. (doing what you think society says you should do to be a good family man) I am having fun, for now. A little risk and adventure is exciting sometimes! It has become part of who I am, and I am proud of that.
I think women are attracted to the "idea" of a motorcycle, but most do not like them practically. (Fun, but only for short rides). When it comes to dating, the "idea" of excitement can be very powerful. So, to answer your original question: For men who ride, it is a part of their life, and they want to share it. For women, it may mean an exciting new adventure... unless they have "hang-ups".

I know I'm a little late with this. But I'm 24 years old and very different from my family. I grew up in a well off, very "preppy" family... But my dad always encouraged individuality. When I was about 12 years old I saw a Harley up close for the first time... And I fell in love. My dad would bring me into the Harley dealership by us often, just so I could browse. Now, I unfortunately can't afford one on top of my car, and I have a toddler so I need my car. But since I was 12, I've been crazy about them. When I was a young teen my screen names online were even things like "bikerchik87"... I laugh about it now. But I still love, love, love them. One day, I will get one of my own. To answer your question, I do love a man that rides. But unfortunately I've realized in my area most men that ride are old enough to be my father... And the ones my age that ride, have those BMW or Ninja bikes that I can't stand. They are just reckless on those and act like idiots, trying to show off. Plus, those bikes to me look like my son's toy bikes. Yuck.

NO. This @sshole in my neighborhood chooses to ride his ridiculously loud piece of crap around in the middle of the night. He just stopped at the stop sign and revved his f*ing engine for a few minutes before driving off... He's a d*ck. Not that everyone is a d*ck who owns a bike... but that guy is.
