Are you a giver or a taker?

Me, I'm a giver......always have been and probably always will be. Problem is it's not always a good thing when you give all you have of yourself and there is nothing left to give, which is where I am at right now. Which one are you??

Without a doubt, I am a giver- to a fault. I often end up in situations where I seem to find myself taken for granted as a result.

I am a giver...I give until I have nothing let to give...Even when you give everything you have...it seems that some people still want more...I wish I could be a taker a little more often...Sometimes giving all the time..makes you feel empty.

I am a giver who has learned to give only when a need comes up, but that person must show proof that their in need and they must come up with half of what they are asking for. Sometimes I say no which is something I have had to learn the hard way, because some people take your kindness for weakness. God has given each person common sense and He doesn't want anybody weak or stupid!!

I have been a giver all my live. It has drained me. It took me years to learn how to say the word "NO" I will never be a taker, but I am a lot more careful about giving now. Takers seek out givers. They are the predators, and the givers are the prey.

I am a giver, and sometimes to much, and would like to look into the taker side of things.

I am a giver and I believe it is the best way to live because giving is the very essence of love. Love never takes- it always gives and in doing so love is GIVEN back- if you ever have to 'take' love, the love you think you are recieving is not really love. A truly gracious person will always give love freely, even at the cost of hurting themselves (ie giving love to an enemy). But love is also tough- really tough IE. I just read a situation on here where a woman had a 'relationship' with her son in law and didn't seem the least bit sorry about it. Is my love so deep that it can reach down to a person like that? No. I think the picture/action of love though looks different in this type of situation- love doesn't always reach out- sometimes love means rejecting.

Anyway I am getting way off on a tangent. While I think that giving is always the most meaningful stance, I don't think in our day it is always effective because many people do not even accept people who are giving- they in fact see us type of folk as old school and put up barriers toward such people.
