Kind of...I was recently informed (and I am 32) that when my mother was 7 months pregnant she had some severe complications. I am not sure of the details and most likely will never be, as my mother passed away two years ago. But she was hospitalized for weeks and ended up having a miscarriage. After some tests the Dr. told her that she had only lost one of the twins, but that there was no way the other could survive the remainder of the pregnancy - so while he was performing the post miscarriage procedure he would have to abort the surviving "fetus". She immediately refused and the Dr. explained how it would possibly kill her to carry the remaining twin to term. It was supposed to be impossible. That is what the Dr. said...IMPOSSIBLE for both mother and child to survive. There was no possible way the remaining twin could survive, and if she tried to carry to term she most likely wouldn't survive either. Lucky for me my mother was a very strong-willed woman...she packed up and left the hospital that day and did not return until she was in full-term labor. She survived, and thanks to her determination and love, so did I. So ultimately, YES, I am a twin, but at the same time do not know what it would be like to have a twin.
