Resolved Question

Are you are afraid of the Gay Storm that is coming?

Have you seen the NOM ad ( National Organization for Marriage ) ?

Fortunately, there are people out there to remind us that if gays are granted their rights, ours will be taken away.
Just don't ask how. Just repeat that: our rights are being taken away. This little bit of chant works wonders for just anything from gay fear to socialism scare, lol.

But be afraid, be really afraid of the gathering storm ... and thanks God for Colbert too for joining the fight.

The most fine peace of satire you will ever see:

No. Gay storms are the opposite: friendly, peaceful, and full of rainbows. Not to mention refreshing.

I am more afraid of the straight storm - those narrow minded folks that want everything to be as anally predisposed as their own narrow field of view is.

I'm not afraid, I'm divorced. Every objection I've heard to gay marriage implies that marriage is something, that in reality it is not. All the descriptions of what the objectors call marriage I find to actually come into effect when you have kids.

I give the simple example of a couple married for thirty years - no kids - , Once divorced these people never have to see or speak to each other again.

Conversely, a couple that get drunk at a party and conceive a child are tied together, to one extent or another, for life. (even if being drunk at the party was the first time they meet and they didn't even know each others name at the time.)

Gay marriage became legal in all of Canada in July 2005. We haven't had any storms and to date, I have not had any rights taken away from me, my children have not turned gay--not that there's anything wrong with that. I've been talking to them about this stuff since they were old enough to ask the question.

the GAY STORM????? thinking that "gay marriage" somehow violates the rights of those who are not gay is completely ridiculous. actually i feel violated when someone says that gay people shouldn't be able to get married. and i'm not even gay. i really hope that you can find it in your heart to realize that people should NOT be denied the right to find happiness in love with another person just because other people don't approve of this relationship.

I think that Gays should be married to each other and can we just fa get about it already.

Personally they get more press than the American kids who go to bed hungry. Or the aging parents today that dont have enough food to live on.
Or the thousands of other Totally unfair life situations that cripple the youth and kill the human spirit much faster.
Gays are who they are, and some who just want to experience every kind of lust there is, sexually. (those who are mixed up) probably due to all the press they get. Just a thought.
Seriously, we have more important issues today.
Not to dismiss their complaints, I understand their frustrations. I have friends who are gay and frustrated.
However it does not disturb me as much as other things.

Im tired of it.

That is one of the most retarded questions I've ever read. No, I'm not afraid of a "Gay Storm." Gay people don't intend to harm us "straight" people nor do they want to take away our rights. They just want to be able to visit a life partner when they are sick in the hospital and they want to enjoy all of the benefits that "straight" people enjoy as 'married' couples. I see nothing wrong with two human beings enjoying benefits as a couple. What they do in their bedroom is no one else's business. Geez...............

hm. "our rights are being taken away"- isn't this the slogan that began how the gays got THEIR rights, and Christians repeatedly said the gay community was wrong because we are not here regarding rights and the law should not revolve or cater to rights. And how Christians are using this slogan for themselves? How ironic.
