Are you both Pro-Life and Pro-Death Penalty?

Can you please justify one without invalidating the other? Thanks in advance.

I believe anybody that commits their first time felony or participates in drugs, should get clipped or their tubes tied so they cannot have kids at all.

anybody that rapes, murders, kidnaps, or molests, or woman beaters should all have an automatic death penalty sentence.

And all this would solve the abortion problem, because all the people who shouldn't be having kids, won't be allowed to have kids.

Isn’t that an oxymoron? How can someone be pro life and pro death?

While I can understand someone being Pro-Choice but not being Pro Death Penalty I literally cannot fathom someone who is the other way around. How can you be 'Anti-Choice' (sorry, I don't use the term 'Pro-Life' as I think it's inaccurate) but be for the Death Penalty? Isn't that just incredible hypocrisy? I guess you just think it's a matter of the timing then? You would be okay with killing Hitler after he caused millions of murders, but it would have been wrong to abort him before birth?

i am pro choice.

i also am vegetarian, pacifist....and

against the death penalty.

PS: People who are "pro-life and pro-death penalty" are just angry people who have congruent habits of thought and try to hide them behind "political positions".

Nope. I'm Pro-Life, but I would rather a baby be aborted than mistreated by a mother who doesn't want it and who won't give it up for adoption. As far as the Death Penalty, I don't go for it because it does not act as the deterrent it was originally meant to be.

You'll have a hard time getting a straight answer on this one. In the eyes of God, you really can't be both. That old "eye for an eye" stuff is not applicable. However, most, if not all non-Catholic pro-lifers are pro-death penalty. the problem lies in that they have no problem about wanting to end support for the poor, even the children. Now how pro-life is that? How many people have been put to death and were wrongly accused or had poor lawyers? Unless the evidence cannot be disputed (reputable eye witnesses, confessions), the death penalty should never be allowed. I'm pro-choice by the way, and iffy on the death penalty.

First of all, "pro-life" isn't really a good label for what you're trying to describe. I believe a better term might be "anti-abortion". The Pro-Life label is a euphemism invented by anti-abortionists that you have inadvertently picked up on. And because I'm neither anti-abortion nor pro-death penalty, but also don't believe in rigid ideologies and closed minds, I'll do something fun and pretend I'm actually anti-abortion and pro death penalty just for the experience and challenge of it (it's too easy to just spout off the opposite and I'd learn nothing from it):

First of all, if you support abortion than you are advocating a death penalty. The fetus is in fact a living organism with its own heartbeat. So to be "against" abortions is to be against a form of genocide (literally, because the fetus does consist of "genes", thus "genocide"). Thus this isn't an appeal "for" life, but "against" a form of genocide. To support the death penalty is to merely prefer one form of genocide over another - which virtually everyone does anyway (how many anti-death penalty people do you know who would kill someone if they raped their kid? Be honest)

So you see, everyone is really a hypocrite, and you accomplish nothing with your effort to tear down the closed-minded, irrational anti-abortion/pro-capital punishment right wingers. This is why ideologies and political "movements" fail: they all rely on each side accusing the other of hypocrisy. I once went to an abortion rally and stood with the pro-choicers. After 15 minutes, I told ran over to the "other side" and pretended that the anti-abortionists changed my mind. After a few more minutes, I told everyone to fu(k off and started throwing eggs at them.

the end.

I'm kind of on the middle on both issues. I think a woman should be able to get an abortion if she has been raped, in danger, and by choice very early in the process. I think the death penalty should only be applied for pre-meditaded murder. A quick death isn't much worse than a life time in the clink.

Abortion and the death penalty are very different isues.

For those opposing abortion, in general, they find an a fertilized egg or an embryo to be innocent human life and aborting that life to be the unwarranted taking of an innocent life.

Fine.

For those approving of abortion, generally, the define the begining of hyman life differently and/or that a woman has sole control over her own body and that retaining of her own embryo is her business, alone.

Fine.

Pro death penalty folks, generally, find that murderers, and or some others, have forfieted their right to live, based upon the commission of that crime(s) and that the death penalty is a just and appropriate sanction.

Fine.

Anti death penalty folks, generally, believe that regardless of crime, that the death penalty is always unjust and inappropiate.

Fine.

Abortion and the death penalty are very different issues.

The pro death penalty position does not, necessarily have any conflicts with either the pro or anti abortion positions.

The anti death penalty position does not, necessarily, have any conflicts with eirhter the pro or anti abortion positions.

The pro death penalty position
