Are you confrontational? Or do you let things tend to let things bother you and avoid that person?

Q&A Home   >  Community   >  WTK

WHOOPS! Sorry for the messed up question above!!!!

I NEED to resolve issues immediately. I don't gossip. I go right to the source and find the truth. I have no fear. Face to face. Or a phone call to straighten things out. Right to the point. No renting space in this head....

Both and neither. I try to avoid any confrontations, but I am a " take the devil by his horns" type.

I can't stand confrontation, but I hate to have negative feelings in the air. It kills me to be angry with a loved one, or have them mad at me. I do whatever it takes to fix it as soon as possible.

I understand, Abbey. I just can't stand to have those negative emotions. I heard a "rumor" about me in the apartment complex about me. And someone told me where it came from. I went right up to the sources door and knocked. Went right to the point. She explained everything, apologized, and everything was settled. I explained to her the REAL truth of what was going on. Really, the people around here have nothing better to do than gossip about other people. But my attitude is, "It's not my business of what others think of me". But in this case, I had to speak my mind and make things right...!

Good for you! Often, gossips are cowards who will back right down when confronted with their lies. Maybe she will think twice before she opens her mouth now. People like that just don't bother to think how their ignorant talk can hurt others.

it depends on the persons and situation; if it's someone I live with; I will tell them what's bothering me, but if they still don't want to listen, they think know what they're talking about, and wanted the last words, then I will stop sharing my feelings and my thoughts about them, their views, and their thoughts. It gets frustrating when loved ones don't care to listen to my opinions,my feelings, and thoughts, and treat them with disrespect, and unimportance.

I"m definitely not confrontational with strangers and people I don't know very well.
