..If I put you in a chair for a day, Could you survive?

Yes, very much so. I have a severe form of Rheumatoid arthritis and it damaged my knees so badly that I had to walk with crutches then had to use a wheel chair for over 3 years. My Rheumatologist is treating my disease aggressively and it has not spread yet and I found a wonderful orthopedic surgeon who changed my life. I know there is no cure for RA and I never thought I'd walk again without severe pain but now I have two new knees and feel like a million bucks, like a new person, like the bionic woman! When I see someone in a wheelchair or in a motorized cart @ Wal-Mart, I try to help them if I can or if they need it. I am very friendly and nice to them because I have been there. I wear my scars proudly and will tell anyone who asks all about the replacement surgery. You never know what can happen, I was an active healthy person until age 37 when the pain came.
