Resolved Question

Are you pro or against flu vaccination?

I got a vaccine (1st time in my life) yesterday and I got so severe headache like never before in my life ... so I don't know what to think about it now. I know about possible side effects... but I still hesitate.

(AND PLEASE DONT WRITE ANYTHING ABOUT 'GIVING A FLU VIRUS INTO YOUR BODY' COZ THAT VACCINES ARE INACTIVATED VIRUSES!!!) and dont remind me it coz i already know it...

Against, indeed, sincerely, wholeheartedly, against. Pretty much all new vaccinations (c. 2000-2008).

Flu vaccines give you that flu. Doesn't help at all against the next month's strain of the flu.

Autism may be related to mercury used in vaccines, it is an epidemic itself now. Kids are required to endure far too many vaccines or they can't go to school. New vaccines are a problem. Not small pox, rubella, measles, NEW ones that aren't as well tested and purely formulated.

Vaccines in America are BIG MONEY for the medical industry and are released on the populace before having been ok'd by the FDA with years of testing and development. And no assurances of the side effects to be nontoxic & nonlethal. But, you won't find those stories in the news here. Alas, I digress...

Just boost your immune system with a good diet of whole foods, some vitamins and herbs and you'll be ok through flu season.

When will they start teaching science properly in schools? I don't understand how people can think the weight of clinical evidence is hogwash but are happy to buy into any half-baked conspiracy theory.
There are relatively few documented cases of people having fatal reactions to vaccinations. Flu and its complications,on the other hand, kill many thousands every year and cause serious complicsations for many more.
Flu shots do not "give you flu". Some people may experience a few days of unpleasant symptoms, but this is relatively unusual. I've had 14,and it's only happened twice. No big deal.
The link between vaccinations and autism is a tenuous statistical one at best that has caused people to refuse vaccination of their kids. The consequence has been a rise in cases of preventable childhood diseases and a rise in complications and deaths. Tragic - and so stupid as to verge on criminality.
Flu vaccines typically give 60 to 70 per cent protection. They don't guarantee immunity, but if you do get it,chances are it will be less severe. If you have a compromised immune system, asthma,COPD,emphysema or a host of other conditions, you'd be very unwise to risk skipping it.
I'm very much pro flu shots.

I am definitely pro for the flu vaccine. I used to get the flu really bad when I was younger. I would be so sick that I stayed in bed for a week and that is really sick for a kid to do! When I started getting flu shots once a year, I did not get that sick with the flu ever again like I used to. Now, if I get the flu, it only lasts like 24 hours and I am done with it. I am very thankful for the vaccine. I would say it is good for people who get the flu real bad. If you don't ever get the flu, then I would not worry about getting the vaccine. I just know that it really helped me because I used to get pretty sick.

Im strongly against any vaccination that the government claims is good for you... What chemicals are really in it other than the flu virus itself. Ive never gotten the flu until i got one of those shots when i was younger. I guess i got the flu that time cause of the virus thats in it...

Pro. My wife has cancer, immune system shot with treatments. If she doesnt get shot and gets flu, could kill her. Good for kids, elderly. If you dont need to get dont but is a good idea for those at risk.

I hate to have to get them. I never used to. But then I found out it's the people who don't get vaccinated who become carriers of the virus that then ends up being fatal to the eldery and people with weak immune systems.

You have to use the vaccine each year and it is not a guarantee that you won't get sick.

i just got the shot a few days ago. besides tenderness in my arm and a slight headache, i was okay. only the one you get shot up your nose gets your sick. like singer said, i think its more of a light case. extremely light case of the flu. but if you read the pamphlet it says you will get achey all over. which is like the flu. but not.

Don't get flu vaccinations. Predicting the strain of flu virus that is going to come out each year is not an exact science, the only thing they are doing to create the vaccine is combining strains that are most likely to sicken people as they are the most virulent or common, so you have no guarantee that you won't sicken from the flu virus you actually come into contact with.

You know what I suggest? Start cooking with more fresh tomatoes, onions, and garlic. This is the base of the majority of Mexican food (not Tex-Mex garbage) and it's an enormous booster for your immune system. I can send you a good recipe for Albóndigas that I make when I feel I'm about to be sick. It's basically a speedball of antioxidants, vitamins A and C, and general deliciousness. =)

I took the flu vaccines for many
Years and got sick every year. Finally after 2 cancers I had all the doctoring I could enjoy and took charge of my own health. I am now healthier at age 71 than I have ever been in my life. You can't believe the pressure that is put on us elderly to take pharmaceuticals and as I watch friends DIE from side effects, I am so glad I caught on to them. When I start getting flu symptoms, I knock it out with essential oils. I never miss any work even when younger workers are out for days with what is going around. They take pharmaceuticals and get sick as dogs. Every flu shot you take increases your chances of getting Alzheimer's. Read Dr. Mercola. About it.

Against. Never get the flu. Don't fall into any of the categories that should have a flu shot. And with my spicy appetite, no flu bug would have a chance in my system.

personally I don't trust them. I've heard a lot of bad things about them, most of which could be considered conspiracy theory, and since I really don't see them as necessary, I don't get them.

I think it's a good thing for the elderly. My parents get their shots every year.

If you're reasonably young and healthy though the flu isn't going to kill you, so why bother?

Vaccination against the flu?? o.o Why would you do that? Maybe if you're in a job where you really can't afford to get sick at inconvenient times? I could understand that. Wouldn't want it myself, though.

SMALL POX?!?! Crap, I'm unvaccinated. A vaccine virgin. Apart from a couple of tetanus jabs that r too long ago. I know I could get Measles, don't really know what Rubella is, and I didn't know I could get Small Pox! So Flu jab? Not really that important, I'd have to go to to the Doc's for it anyway, and that place is full of sick people!!!!

Silly....You got the flu.......I could never understand that one......People would always stand clear someone that they thought had the flu....Did not want to catch the germs......ANd here they go...and have some of those same germs shot into their body......Can not understand that one.....

How do I know that it is the flu....When I was in the Army.....they would pick alot of the newbies...(new personel) to have the flu shots....and they were always given on Payday......and when ever I got my shots...I got sick...Not real bad....But it was the same as if I had the flu......And that was because...I did have the flu.....Just a real light case.....

This is what you have...A light case of the flu....Now you will not get it......YOur body knows what germs to fight...ANd it has the right weapons...
