Yes I am, I am a Middle Eastern and proud to be so - I don't believe my race is better than any other race because everyone is good based on their thinking, actions etc.. not their race, but I am proud to be so because it is who I am, I love my culture, language, country, people and my religion of course the last one is not restricted to my race as it is a universal religion but it is a part of me so I had to mention it. I am a person who sees the positive side of nationalism and patriotism, I believe we can be nationalists but positively, by loving ourselves which does not necessarily mean hating others or looking down at them.

American. Currently I am not at all proud when I look at the youth, the teen pregnancy rate, the lack of respect towards marriage, the government that squanders my money, a president who lies, hides things and is involved in numerous scandals, the hypocrites who cry tolerance whilst being intolerant, the notion that abortion is OK even though the laws of most, if not all states contradicts that, the seeming lack of self respect many have for themselves...so on..

Still you can be proud of who you are, there are many wrongs everywhere, it doesn't mean we can't be proud of ourselves and countries because the bad does not represent all the people or all the country for that matter! Ps. I like the points you have mentioned.

Canada is where I was born and where I will most likely die. I've lived here my entire life and so I tell people I'm Canadian regardless of where my genetic-donors families may have originated.
