My whole life yes. On my uncles death bed. He mustered up enough strength to partially sit up and look me straight in the eye and say something like "I see how you try and be strong for everyone and hold everything together. It's super tough and even though no one else sees it, I do." "There is so much good in you and someday you will be appreciated." I never saw him again after that. It was the first time anyone had ever valued me and validated me. I cried so hard at his words. Not from sadness but more of a release from how I felt for so many years. It is the best and most amazing memory of him.

yes, that was my role with my husband, his family, my mother and my eight siblings, everyone always depending on me until I decide to divorce and do what I wanted to do in life. Now they are all in shock.
