As a kid in Alaska, I ate snow. Never got sick. Now it almost killed me WHY? It was fresh. Perplexed.

My mom would make ''SnowIceCream'' or we would just eat it when we got thirsty outside snowshoeing or sledding. Now I ate it one time and it almost killed me. I just don't understand why. The doctors said I was just lucky when I was a kid that I did not get deathly sick.
I just don't understand.

Eating snow almost killed you?? Being a pothead in Canada, I'v solved many a dry mouth with snow and icicles...how'd it make you sick? I mean... sometimes here what you think is ice is frozen spit, but you learn.

All I can figure is you're in a more polluted area now. I grew up eating snow, too.
