As a child I breakfast was a rarity.I lived in a singled family Mom was too poor & too hung over to send us kids to school. It was up to me a 7yr old to help get my younger brothers & sister to school.

My favorite one was toasted bread my mother would scrape most of the black stuff off, then I would put butter on it while it was still warm, then it would melt into the bread , then ministroni soup with a lot of pasta that had beans stuck inside , I would take the bread take a bite then sip some soup, it would make me feel warm all over

Waffles. I generally ate cereal or oatmeal so they were a treat. Most of the time with just butter. To this day I still eat waffles with just butter, and if I do have syrup only real maple syrup, not that fake HFCS stuff. :P

Leftover pizza or pancakes. They were both rare treats for breakfast so I always loved them the most.

Captain Crunch! I'd fill my mouth with as much as I could and crunch!!! By the time my bowl was empty, the roof of my mouth was sore. (BTW-it's not the same now...they changed the recipe:(

My sisters kitten was delicious, but not very filling. In hindsight I probably should have waited till it was weaned.
