No and yes. The age gives you the better opportunity to acquire wisdom.

Age can give you more opportunity for wisdom. Looking at society, I don't see many wise people, regardless of age.

Not always. You would think the older you are, the wiser you would be, but the only reason why it is thought to be that way is because the older you are, the more experience the person has. I think experience has more to do with wisdom and maturity than age does.
