As so often happens with historical events, World War II had both positive and negative consequences for both the African-American and Hispanic business communities. Compare some of these effects that you feel were particularly significant.

It followed up on the feeling of minorities after WWI, the feeling that they'd bled and died for our country and so they should be respected and given the rights accorded the "first class citizens". The horrors and extent of WWII and the manner in which Blacks, Hispanic, Japanese, Jewish, and Indian Americans with such honor during the war gave the minorities a sense of pride and accomplishment -- and a sense of anger when they came home to the same old crap. That angered fueled the Civil Rights Movement.

Yeah...too bad only for the blacks and hispanics.

Didn't that happen like sometime last century?

You really never do pay attention in class.

I honestly feel that you would be hard pressed to find any positive or negative consequences for either of those ethnic groups as far as their presence in the business community goes. I would add that anybody who professes any such affects are pushing an agenda of some type. All you read in a text book is not completely correct (Paul Revere for example).
