I thought I married her in 1997. But then after our divorce, I thought I met my REAL true love in 2007. But now that she's left me, I'm still waiting for my one true love. In other words, they don't exist. The person who may be your true love in this moment may not be in another moment. People change, both you and the person you love. It's a rare gift if the two of you change in unison and remain compatible.

Im such a hopeless romantic, so this answer kind of hurts. The truth hurts I suppose. It's just that I don't want love to be temporary. I want it to last forever.

Me too. I was optimistic that I was going to spend the rest of my life with each of the women I decided to marry. And now I have to find the optimism that the best is yet to come. So where is she? :/

Thanks, VRW.
I actually told her over dessert that we had to get married.

Even more beautiful! Gives me some hope :) you two have a wonderful New Year!

Best Answer

Thanks. What was even more amazing to me, given how beautiful she is, was that she was thinking exactly the same thing -- that she had just met her man.
Happy New Year to you

Oh, I'm not falling for THAT again!

There's nothing magical about love, NOTHING!

For the first six months, it's chemistry.

After that it's HARD WORK!

I thought I met her when I was 20. We got married and had a few great years together. Than I became a dumbass and when I was 27 or so, she divorced me.

If you don't mind me asking... is she still your one true love?
