Don't panic! I am constantly eating old food that's been open for longer than it should have been: yoghurt, fresh tofu, milk, miso paste, tempeh, even unpasteurized Indian yoghurt made in somebody's living room (thayyir). But then again my fridge is very clean, I hardly open it (hence the "old" food!), and I'm pretty careful about handling food. Hopefully your mother's fridge is like that! Take care - Andrew

Ugh. That's nasty. Sorry. I'm sure you'll be fine. But you may get sick. You may spend a LOT of time puking. Man, that blows, but unless you get dehydrated or disoriented, then you shouldn't need to go to the hospital. I had always thought that food poisoning, especially from seafood, happened really fast, so if you aren't sick by tomorrow morning, you probably won't be.

CHARCOAL TABLETS.... run thyself to a grocery or natural food store & ask for help to find them. Just one should absorb any gas & prevent the runs. Drink lotsa water.

ewwwww left overs should be kept a max of 3 days in a fridge....just hope you dont get sick....
i personally would be going nuts right now because i have a fear of food that is more than 3 days old.... it makes me feel like something would start growing in my body... i clean my fridge once sometimes twice a week... with bleach and soap... i mean i hate left overs they are scary..

Make sure your will is up to date.
Call the priest.
Sit in your favorite chair with a bottle of red wine and wait.
If, by some stroke of luck, you do survive, never ever eat thirteen day old crab dip again - you big dummy.
