I don't see any difference. For me the difference is between good and evil people. If atheist or beliver it's a private thing. But there is a lot of job to do, all togheter, in order to improve the conditions upon this planet.
I belive in God...my way, and a lot of my friends are atheists, and this does not make them worst to my eyes. May be the worst is me.
A theist? No, atheist!
well the atheist tends to be defined by the theist in a way the theist isn't defined by the atheist - this is simply the reality of the atheist existing to counter the theist, whereas the theist exists for themselves and for God
but there are theists who are liars and who use God as an idol for worldly power - and there are atheists who in practice are more Christ-like than the average Christian
I'm atheist when believing in God(s) means picking sides in ideological wars; it's the nuclear option. I don't need to fear Hell or covet Heaven to be good--I just want to be.
I'm theist when I have the time and quiet to consider the interconnectedness of everything. The Deity doesn't really care if we stroke its ego or not; It, and we, just go on.
They are both defined by there beliefs.
We all generally wake up, eat food, watch TV, have friends and families, deal with traffic, pay bills, like certain foods, and get annoyed by people who take a full baskey of groceries into the express lane.
Any of these are a good start.
Typically, like hateful little children with big mouths and small brains. (Both sides.)
