I have the OEM replacements. I know how to cut and ***** wire, I just am unsure of the best way to attach and protect the wire when done.

depends on the amperage you are drawing from the original wire, if very low, just a peel back with a crimp on, then tape it. if heavy current, then peel, wind around, solder and tape.
keep in mind the fuse rating.
