Being used?

Why are people so afraid of being used yet at the same time that they claimed that they were being used, they were the ones who were willing to hand their money over to that other person and even offering it at times. Is all of this just an excuse for having a personal preferences on who they give their money to?

I personally think they hand over money etc to keep that other person around. Maybe fear of that person leaving & even though they know they're being used still don't want to admit it or be alone, hurt, dumped whatever. I'm sorry it's very late, did that make sense? If not sorry.

As I've posted before, people only do to you what you allow them to do. I have learned this from many experiences. People who allow themselves to be used usually have poor self-esteem and have suffered some form of abuse as children which caused them to form inappropriate boundaries or no boundaries at all. They don't feel they are worth more, deep down, no matter how much they protest. After all, we don't do things unless we get something from them, even if it is only the pain we were used to as children. There are healthy and unhealthy fits in relationships. Those where one partner feels used are usually in the latter category. Been there, done that, got the scars to prove it.

i suppose... u see, it's one thing to help but another to help under false pretenses. it's called fraud. i don't like folks with fraudulent behavior. honestly, a gift is a gift and when u do ANYTHING for someone u should consider it that cause there's a big chance u won't get the same behavior in return. it's the principle behind it. no one likes to be deceived.
