Save up and go to a salon and have it done RIGHT.......you'll only screw up your hair really bad..

If nothing else, at least go to a cosmetology school; the students are supervised very carefully by their instructors......I know, as I went to cosmetology school!!

PLEASE don't try experimenting.......the money you'll have spent could have gone towards getting it done right........either school or salon......and by all means, don't forget to leave a tip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You need about a 40% dry peroxide mixed with a toner, and leave it on for the exact right amount of time. PLEASE don't do this yourself because there's no telling what the back of your head will look like. It doesn't cost THAT much to go to a hairdresser, and you should really get highlights instead of one colour.

When your roots grow out (and they'll start doing this quickly), one colour will show the darker roots like a fire-break, not to mention the fact that you'll have to do your roots every couple of weeks instead of months with highlights.

I totally understand your wanting to be blonde, but please consider the positive and negative factors of staying the way you are versus changing colour before you do anything!

I'd call the Clairol advice line. 1-800-CLAIROL.
They might have advice online as well.
I'm not sure if the number will work if you aren't in the states.
I can imagine that Loreal has an advice line and site as well.
