Black Friday in the USA - What do you see in the mirror this morning?

Do you see a consumer so addicted to shopping that you are willing to behave like a sheeple to get the latest trinket?

Do you see somebody who wants to keep retail workers underpaid and on food stamps just so that you can get a cheap price?

Do you value hoarding a lot of cheap junk instead of a few high-quality items?

Do you see somebody who likes a bargain so much that by their purchasing power they support moving manufacturing to China, taking jobs away from their children?

Do you see somebody who supports the CEOs giving you the modern equivalent of beads so that they earn 500 times the average wage of their American employees (and pay very, very, few taxes)?

What type of consumer do you see looking back at you? Your Chinese owners are wishing you a very happy spending season; aka Christmas.

Thank you for your answer. The soulless black friday helps the race to the bottom. I hope you will somehow have some comfort in your life.

What's funny is how many people get so pretentious about this. It's a novelty, really. The people who make the news because of their antics are dysfunctional already.

Somebody is grumpy this morning. I'm guessing your mirror wasn't kind to you.

It is evening for me. I am relaxing in a place near your Chinese overlords. But, I'm off to have a beer with a group of Russian divers.
