In terms of your health? It's bad. Especially depending on where you bruise. I imagine you could do a lot of damage to your internal organs if you hit yourself hard enough. Don't do it, it's so not worth it.

IANAP (I am not a psychologist) but I'd say yes. In both cases you're causing physical pain to yourself in an attempt to cover up the emotional pain.

I'm glad to hear your safe, that is the important thing.

I hope you discontinue punishing yourself for the pain you can't heal yet...

It's a less annoying (scars are annoying) way of achieving the same end, pain, so yeah, it's pretty much the same. My only advice would be that if you're going to do it, stick to your limbs, so as not to damage internal organs and the like.

no it's not... the reason you are doing it may be the same... the feeling you get from doing it may be the same... but bruising does not leave scars that will last for years.

if you are hitting yourself... or cutting you need to go speak to a doctor and get some councling or medication.

Or just keep slashing and bashing...

sorry to hear you are going through some stuff.
I dont thing its exactly the same. the need to bleed and the frustration that causes the hitting are different. (at least for me). If you are causing yourself pain please dont. I am sure you are unique and beautiful.

What are you wanting to be different in your life?
