So, if I have an essay weighted at 60% and an exam weighted at 40% and to pass the unit you only have to get an average of 40% over both, what percentage or over do I have to get in the essay to afford to fail (or do really badly) in the exam??

    should be 24 & 16??? thats 40% which you said you need to pass
