One example: If they are only in it for the profits and aren't looking out for the athlete first-and-foremost. They could push the athlete to hard and burn them out too soon and/or ruin that persons (mental/physical) health/reputation for the rest of their life.<br />

A lot of athletes put unconditional trust into their coach to do what's right for them in the long run no matter what.

I think its possible if they aren't compatible or he's discouraging with an inconstructive criticizm which he might excuse as constructive, or if he isn't good at helpin sports wise with excersizes, nutrition guidance or strategies...
