By the time a man falls in love, I don't think the visual is very important any more.

The visual is as important to a man as it is to a woman. I've seen some ladies that started off as Beautiful, but the second that they opened their mouths and every other word was a swear word, they became super ugly. I have meet some women who were not attractive, but their mind and personality were so beautiful that they became Beautiful in my eyes.

No. I don't think a woman a can either. I don't think your partner needs to be the most attractive person you've ever seen for you to love them—but if you find them physically repulsive, you're not even going to take the time to know them.

If he was blind, that would be a perfect match!

I certainly can, I seek intellect over beauty every time.

beauty is only in the eyes of the beholder....there are so many ways to love.....but to love completely, means to love from the whole inner you.......

beauty is subjective so it all depends on what is attractive to the man. if he values characteristics and traits over just the physical than that makes him less superficial because beautiful women come in all shapes and sizes. some women are stunning on the outside with no depth or personality worth appreciating. others are average looking and nice, a few are what society would consider not attractive but from what i've seen, there literally is someone for everyone. i've seen bbw's get love. i've seen the disabled get love. its all relative to the individual. i think i'm lucky that i am cute and all but i like guys who like me more than how pretty they think i am. because of that i have dated different types of men and to outsiders some have not been all that attractive but i liked them because of who they are and how they made me feel.

I am certainly not unattractive though I am overweight. I have never been lacking in attention as those physically attracted to me are attracted to their ideal of beauty - bigger women. Having said that, the lovely man I am with now likes my shape but is in love with me.

Also, I was not attracted to my bf physically when we first met, but by the end of that first night I was very sure I wanted to meet up with him again as I was attracted to him as a person.

I think he is the most beautiful man in the world, in every sense of the word, and that is because his personality, interests and everything make him so. I can't look at him now without feeling I have the most (physically included) gorgeous man in the world.

I fell in love with an physically ugly man once but the force of his personality, his charisma, more than made up for it. Unfortunately, it was a problem for him when we were together because I was also quite a bit younger than him and I was only able to stay with him a couple of years. But I would rather have a less attractive partner than me. I feel intimidated and insecure with good looking men.

if visual was the only factor , guys could play with 'paper dollies' and be happy. they want what we want, too ~ only most of them are afraid to admit it.guys, I said MOST, not ALL.

Heck yeah!!! i would rather fall for someone not attracted and the most amazing personality, then with the hottest girl and a bratty personality. Which is how it usual is. Just don't be stuck up and you got a good shot with a lot of guys.

The difference between friends and lovers is sex. You can be lovers without being friends. And you can be friends with out being lovers... But you can not be lovers without making love. If you aren't physically attracted to someone, then that's that. Don't waste time and don't lead them on. There are plenty of fish in the sea.

The visual may not be too important, but physical appeal and attraction has a role. Its complex. I know of a lady, who once felt terribly attracted to a man who most considered as ugly and repulsive, but had very warm smile.
Totality matters and it is and may be different for different person.
