In my case, as more and more things demanded my attention on a more or less continuos basis, all I wanted to do when I had down time was to work on less critical or fun things and relax. I'm equally comfortable alone or with people, but I rarely feel the need for continuos social contacts. I thik a large part of this comes from having a job that was ninety five percent travel for a number of years; you don't have time for anything else.

when that person finds something that is really fulfilling..well..they may be alone but they won't feel alone anymore!?so yes, a person can go from being lonely to not feeling lonely but i dnt think it's easy, i think that it takes a while!?
