Resolved Question

Can anyone answer this question I have?

I have a question, that I have been wondering about for a while now.
Okay with the Bush Administration that President was always mentioning the Hispanic or Latino people.
The present day Administration is always mentioning
the Black or African American people.
WHY does NO one ever mention, the Native American
people. It is like they simply do not exist ?

Most of you don't get it.
1. why in any way shape or form would any Native Amer. nation want to support the U.S. government?
2. Their ancestral concept of nature and spirituality is so far above white comprehension, its beyond trying to explain.
3. history is filled with lies, convolution and politics. Oral histories amongst tribal people is honest, believable and generationally sustainable.

Instead of trying to genocide these people, we should have learned more from them. Greater lessons than "casinos" will be learned in the time to come.

Voting blocks. If there's enough of you to make a difference in an election you'll get mentioned. Otherwise not.

They have had some. Not as much, but some.

It just doesn't get the same coverage on Faux News. It's just not a hot button issue for many people so it wouldn't get ratings.

Native Americans seem like peaceful, quiet people. (That's why most indiginous tribes are vanquished.) The loudest mouths get the most attention in our culture. Just look around.

Here's the link to an article about Obama addressing the concerns of indiginous tribes from February.

Perhaps they take it for granted that you ALWAYS existed?

I always thought they were mentioning the 'major minority'...but when you put it that way, it's odd that neither administration mentioned native americans.

Native Americans do not have a sufficient voting strength to get the attention of the major parties. As unfortunate as that my seem, it is a fact of life, how many do you see talking to the Korean, Chinese Japanese, Honduran, Lithuanian or any other small minority. It does not make economic sense to cater to the smaller groups.

I do know that native Americans have been elected to both houses as represntatives for the districts they reside in.

Sucks, I know, but that's life.

I can't even guess because we have many Indians in our area and we lease theur land for gambling and still can't make money. How retarded is that if you can't make money in a federal casino? I am at at a loss. No pun intended but "where is all the money?"

my feeling: the "americans" came and beat them into submission. now they speak up once in a while but they seem (and i must emphasize, that it is only seem) to have had the will and drive beaten out of them. i don't think a fight is in order but they don't belong on reservations. they are a nation or many nations and should be sharing the planet with everyone and especially those who pushed them aside and said "your land is now ours" so we will put your over there. honestly, i don't know how far native americans have progressed since early american times. this is a symptom of the same thing. you just don't hear enough of what is going on. looking on the internet, it seems as though you will only find how they are tourist attractions while sort of fighting for recognition as a group. but it stops there.

They're simply trying to brush you under the carpet and pretend you don't exist ... it's all part of their evil plot

I have asked this several times myself. I think it's because the tribes have their own counsels and they are NOT, per say, a part of the US Government. They have different rights also for instance they can hunt animals that are on the endangered list but non Native Americans cannot. I have studied some of this but I know that I don't have all of the information about it. The Natives also have their own set of laws too.

It seems to me, Native Americans have not stood up to the Mexicans who claim that they were here first and so this IS their land. Yes that is what they believe.
They have rights to just move in, collect social security and actually enjoy many rights that most Americans enjoy.

YET the American Indian is pretty much stuck on a reservation an unable to enjoy the whole nation.
I have no idea what rights they have, but if they do not equal the same as Mexicans then its descrimination.

The Mexicans just opened a newer restraunt near us called The Alamo.
They bought up every restraunt in town.
American Indians need to rethink some things.

Politics isn't about sentiment, it's about power. Native Americans are a tiny portion of the population and, therefore, have little political clout. Consequently, in terms of politics, they don't exist.
