Can Anyone Really Fall In Love With A Prostitute?

I'm in a relationship with the man I love. We split up almost 18 years ago because of prostitution - we were married and I never told him, I shamefully have to say - and we've just got back together...weeks into the relationship. Can it work this time?

Well I talked to one of my friends about a similar scenario the other day. I asked her if a prostitute is able to go from the "prostitute" role into the "girlfriend" role easily and she assured me that indeed they can. If you think about it from a purely sexual point of view that guy is going to have his world rocked bc she is going to know a lot about it. I know from speaking to my friend however; that prostitutes/call girls are so more than a sex act. . .they have to be smart and make a man/woman feel like he/she is what they see themselves as in their mind. With that said a prostitute should be able to take this to her personal life and "work it" to her advantage. I really do think that there is someone out there for each of us and if this man is that special one in your life then it will work out. If not, then there will be a man that will come along that will accept it. IMHO it isn't much different from a man accepting the fact that I have to travel for my job and that on many occasions I may work all weekend without taking a break. If we love one another then we will majke concessions for each other to make the other happy and if not then we will move on to someone new. . . I don't know if it will work out with the current man but he cam back for a reason. If it isn't with him Sammy you will have a special man that will accept you for you and not force you to change. Good luck dear.

Definitely yes to the first question. Probably not to the second.

To be honest NO. The old saying is once a prostitute ,always a prostitute. A person who thinks that falling in love with a prostitute is wise is only kidding themselves. He will be always thinking of the men she was with no matter how much he says he wont. When they argue it will be the first thing to come to his mind and he will cut you with with his tounge. He will wonder each time he walks down the street with you and people are about if one of them is your johns. He will wonder when your late if it was ligit or if you were off doing the naughty. You can not build a relationship that is sound when 1 is a prostitute. The mind will eat you up and spit you out. Let it be and move on.

to the question "can anyone really fall in love with a prostitute?"- yes, of course.

As for if it will work out- it really depends on the person. A lot of people would have a problem with their significant other having sex with other people. The fact that it's you're job might make it different; but it could still feel like cheating.

If you really want to know if it'll work, if he can really love you and be with you, prostitution and all, you'll just have to be honest with him and see where it goes. You'll need to see how he feels about what you do, and if he can accept that in a relationship.

I think there is definitely a better chance of it working this time. At least now you are both on the same page. And he must like something about you if you're together again.

Eighteen years though...wow, that is a long break.

YES. Love does not have labels, Love in other words is blind, and if you believe this it will. but if you still feel shameful than what your bring into this relationship is shamefulness and resentment on both sides.

I like to think that I am much more mature about my relationship with my lover now than I was the first time around - we had an even longer break. While neither she nor I are prostitutes, we both have marriages and accept that what we have together is a distinct entity that can co-exist with our other relationships..........oh sh*t - not sure what I'm trying to say here - perhaps like most love it is worth taking the risk and tryng rather than holding back and wondering.

I don't see why not. You have to be honest with him though, and he with you. Without honesty and respect, it won't last.

You fall in love with their stamina.
You fall in love with their ability to give you *******.
You fall in love with the recklessness of the danger.
You fall in love with their sex tool.

Yes...it can be done. I have a great husband who loves me for being true to myself. So I'm a prostitute? Big deal. Be true, honest and open with each other and things will work out...

I say yes it is possible to love a prostitute....for they are people too. I personally would have a problem if she continued to work as a prostitute (thats just me). Id say it would take a very unique individual to accept and love a working prostitute though. Like for instance, my wife (NOT a prostitute by the way) is bi-sexual. I have accepted that she is attracted to females and can handle her being sexual with them...but I cant stand the thought of her being sexual with another male (which she isnt). This is a complicated answer and I guess it depends on the people in love as each is different.

ANSWER: A prostitute is a PERSON. The person/prostitute in question appears to be a loving, bright, caring person with good self-concept and much to offer another human being. People fall in love with the person, not the profession. If he knows about the profession and cherishes you anyway, this could be the re-birth of your relationship. Much love and joy to you, dear.

Yes. Prostitutes are people too. Just because a person has a particular type of job does not mean they are less worthy of life experiences, such as love.
