Can anyone recommend any good Film Noire's?

I played through a game called L.A. Noire, which is an amazing game, and the game has inspired me to watch a movie called Chinatown. So now i wanna see some more noire style films. Any advice?

Sometimes churches play Nosferatu with the music played on the church organ, I got to see that once (during Museum Night) and it was pretty impressive. I can recommend that if you can find such an event. :-)

Really?? Nosferatu in an old church would be amazing. I mean... I'd hide under a blanket while watching but I'd enjoy every second.

Well, if you ever visit the country of your ancestors: go in November, because this trick is very popular among churches here. Most churches are monumental buildings and thus are allowed to participate in Museum Night. They do these things to polish up their reputation, like: "we're a church, but we are cool, not all dusty, mean alterboy molesters". ;-) Although at the time, the catholic pedo scandal wasn't a thing yet, I saw Nosferatu in the church in 2004.

The Night of The Hunter is one of my favorites. Great acting by Robert Mitchum.

If you would like a funny film noir, may I suggest Steve Martin's parody of the art form, namely, "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid"!!!

It is a hilarious film, and has intercut many real film noir film scenes in it, including Fred MacMurray's role in Double Indemnity.

    Cheers,

Double Indemnity is the obvious choice. Raymond Chandler ones are good too, like The Big Sleep or The Maltese Falcon. Then there's Out of the Past, Touch of Evil, and Notorious.
