This is how we do it in the south, or most us anyways...

I take two family size Luzianne tea bags placed in a smal pot of water and bring to a boil. Once it is boiling, I remove it from the heat and let stand for about 5 minutes. I get a gallon jar and add 2 cups of sugar to it, then add the hot tea to the jar (or pitcher), then stir well. Place in the fridge overnight for the best southern sweet ice tea y'all will ever have! YUMMY!

Fancy Citrus Iced Tea

4 tea bags
2 cups boiling water
3 oranges
2 lemons
2 cups orange juice
1/4 cup lemon juice
5 tablespoons honey or 1/4 cup sugar (more or less to your liking)
1 liter ginger ale, chilled

Place tea bags in a teapot; add boiling water. Cover and steep for 3 minutes; discard tea bags. Pour tea into a pitcher. Peel and section two oranges and one lemon; add to tea. Stir in the orange juice, lemon juice and sweetener. Cover and refrigerate for 6 hours or overnight. Cut remaining orange and lemon into slices; freeze.

Just before serving, strain and discard fruit from tea. Stir in ginger ale. Serve with frozen fruit slices.

Tea bags, water and lots of sunshine. Brewed will do but I like sun tea better.

If you like it Southern style and sweet, follow any of the recipes above to brew the tea (sun or boil), for 4 tea bags and a gallon of water (a large pitcher) about about a cup of sugar while the tea is hot, so it melts well. Then add the ice. If that's too sweet, cut back on the sugar to your taste. (8 tea bags will make pretty strong tea BTW)

Pick your favorite type of tea in tea bag form.
Make tea with boiling water
add honey while the tea is still hot, and stir until dissolved.
Make tea extra strong so when you add ice it won't be watered down.
Now let the tea cool on the counter until it is no longer steaming.
Transfer tea into a picture for easy pouring.
Put a few ice cubes in tea, and place tea in the refrigerator until cold.
Serve as is, or add:
Lemon
Sugar
Mint
Cream
Milk
or anything you like in your tea.

Steep teabags in very hot ,not boiling water until the tea is as dark as you like. In very hot water melt the desired amount of sugar. Add this to the tea with a little lemon juice.

Steep tea bags in a glass jar, out in the sun...

I add peach and mint to mine....how much depends on how strong a flavor you want your tea to have...I make mine on the light side.

How about "Friendship Tea"?

2 1/2 cups powered orange - flavored breakfast drink
1 3/4 cups powered instant tea
2 - 2 1/2 cups sugar
1 package lemonade mix
(small packet, when mixed with water makes 2 quarts)
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cloves
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Mix together all ingredients well and store in jars or re-sealable plastic bags. You can put the ingredients into a blender ( 1/4 - 1/2 cup at a time ) to make the tea smooth and creamy-looking. Add 1 - 2 rounded teaspoons to 6 - 8 ounces of water.

This makes great ice tea or hot tea.

Enjoy !!! :-)

Steep tea in hot water after it's been boiled.
Pour over a glass filled with ice.
Listen to the ice crackle as the hot tea hits it.
Dump a lot of sugar in it so that it looks like lava flowing.
Drink it.

Thai ice tea with milk is really good but I don't consider it to be iced tea.
