    They can sniff smells as well as energy disturbances.
    So the answer is yes, but it's hard to know what they really sniffing about. ...

    Yes, after I was discharged from the hospital my daughter's dog acted different around me. It was like he knew something was wrong.

    Yes. Dogs' sense of smell is approximately 300 times better than ours.
