You should do as much research as you possibly can so you have an idea about how the mood swings work. How often does she cycle and is she medicated and how does she respond to them. There are support groups. Being with someone who is bipolar requires patience and tolerance. You really need to love and adore this person! It can work and it can be wonderful, you just need to understand.

I am a Viet Nam vet with PTSD...my wife is Bi-Polar...we support each other through our weaknesses....learn all you can about the disorder, be strong for her, put your needs second to hers, and remember through it all that love is the basis of the relationship...God Bless you both!

Nobody can tell if your marriage will work. Just remember you marry the whole package what you like and what you aren't so crazy about If you can tolerate them on their worst day you might have a shot. Good luck

It'll be like being in a plural marriage, because you'll never know who's going to be home when you get there....

there is no rule against it...just find out as much as you can about it and then you will be better able to deal with and understand the condition and be supportive of her.
