Can it be better 2nd time around?

I asked a previous question. I took my cheating husband back. I kicked him out filed for divorce. After months of him asking for a second chance, and going to counseling etc I took the chance he was a better man and deserved forgiveness.
We have a family and Most importantly I love him.
But its been years now and I'm having a hard time letting go of the betrayal! He's doing everything I ask of him but the fact he cheated with a stripper and was willing to throw his family away, baffles me!!
( and yes i didnt touch him until after months of testing for std's )
I didnt by the way find out her occupation until recently i assumed what i was told about her.
Now i'm questioning my love for him.
How does a man with a pretty wife, nice family. Risk everything for an ugly (inside/out stripper???

Maybe it is time to go back to counseling. How come you didn't ask him why he cheated on his pretty wife with that ******** back when you first found out? If it has been years since this happened, what has happened recently that is making you revisit his infidelity? Unfortunately, even though you forgive someone, you NEVER forget what they did. It is a matter of whether you can let it go and love him today. If you cannot, then maybe this second chance isn't worth it.

Most things can get better 2nd time around. There are some exceptions, like getting punched in the face.

I would be wondering how he met the str/pper? Does he hang out at str/p clubs? If the answer is "yes" I would re-evaluate the situation and that would pretty much answer your question - "How does a man with a pretty wife, nice family. Risk everything for an ugly (inside/out str/pper???" Only you know for sure how you feel towards him and the situation - give it some time and you will be able to figure things out. If you can forgive and trust him again things can work out. *hugs* :)

In romances that i wisely ended...it was always made worse the second time round, after i was reeled back in worked over yet again!!...Almost like they get revenge for me breaking free the first time...Anything is possible, but some things are just more probable..

Sometimes people do stupid things, and regret them later. If he is doing everything that you ask, he has been to counseling and he is not showing any signs of cheating again..............he treats you well, I would just give it more time. If you have not been to counseling to deal with these feelings maybe you need to try that. Good Luck....
