I was in one. lots of advice here.
For it to really work, a face to face meeting is a MUST.
My brother met his wife and my sister in-law online.
One of my friends brothers met his wife online and she travelled halfway around the world to be with him. Scotland to Australia.

So it can work and I think is no different to any other type of relationship. on or off-line.

However use extreme caution. keep the doors to your heart castle closed at all times. by all means look over the walls.
You will know when to open the doors.

At your age I would say no. You dont have enough experience with life to tolerate the hardships of an online affair. You would be robbing yourself of your finest days. Its not selfish to run from such a hopeless situation since no harm has been done so far, other than mutual dreaming with a stranger.

I believe it is very do able for older and more seasoned persons, but they are least likely, through experience, to get stuck in it if it began to lok hopeless. Older people require, and know, what actions should be taking place.

If you both want it to why not? My best friend's brother met a girl on line , they chatted for ages met up and a couple of months ago I went to their wedding. Success.

I guess the thrill of switiching on your lappy and seeing a message or going into a chat room and knowing he's there would still make you go weak at knees and have the butterflies in your tummy.

Nothing ventured nothing gained.

I'm sure an online relationship can be fun for a while, but you'll reach a point where it has to end, or become an actual relationship. Do I think if it can work long term with someone you meet online and then in person? Well, from my own experience I'd have to say no, but good luck to you.

From what I have read here on EP, there are cases where it is successful. Don't think it would work for me, but anything is possible.

yes, go for it, but use extreme caution. online or offline, it takes a tremendous amount of work.

I suppose it can work if both persons really work and want it to succeed.
