That depends on how attractive he finds her. As long as she's fine with him fantasizing about her and checking her out whenever she's not looking... sure, they can be great friends.

Yeah, if they're both ugly. Just kidding.

One of my friends is the exact mirror image of myself, but the opposite sex. We have the same likes, dislikes, thoughts, interests, etc. We are both married and love and respect our spouses and each other. We would not cross that invisible "line" at any cost. We are "just" friends, so the answer to your question is "yes".

Yes but sometimes one might not be totally honest and is feeling or hoping for something more. Lots of romances have started out as friendships.

Women can be just friends with men, but men will have a much harder time at it than women. Eventually he will feel some kind of attraction for her, it is just the way guys are. He will hide it and try not to respond to it but it is there.

They can be just friends. Even if married to other partners of the opposite sex. A kiss or luch together is fine too if you both share the same interests. I had a good female friend and we shared similar interests as to what we did with our choice of careers.

Yes, my best friend in the world is a girl and there is nothing sexual or romantic about the relationship. We're just friends.

Yes, of course they can be friends. As long as they are both open and honest to each other and neither one is expecting more out of the relationship besides just being friends. Only when one or the other expects different things out of the friendship will it be a problem.

Oh, and no one has mentioned gay men and women. They can be friends without a problem as well.

In some cultures yes.In Europe, America and so on.I many african cultures it is unthinkable. But I personaly believe that the best friend a man can have is a woman and vice-versa.I do not understand why, but« I assume that this is the reason why even married people can find a friend outside without crossing the invisible line».Actually I do not believe what I am saying. What I believe is that they look for a friend because the husband and wife are not friends;so, the invisible line can easily be crossed.

Yes. Absolutely. No question about it.
I even lived with my best guy friend for 7 years (and no, there was never any sexy-time, ever.) I have many very close man-friends and I love the hell outta them. I cherish my friendships immensely, regardless of gender.
