It depends how long you were together, why you split up, how amicable the split was, if you have both moved on from each other in terms of having feelings. I'm not friends with any of my ex-partners. Was friends with one for a couple of years after we split (we went out for about 3yrs and lived togther). Eventually the friendship faded out for various reasons

If I haven't killed them, then I guess you could say they are my friends

I'm sure it's possible for some. I personally would rather not remain "friends" with an ex-lover. They're an ex for a reason.

you dont have to be over your ex to be friends with him.... i still love my ex and im friends with him, all it takes is both people to not feel troubled from what ever caused you to brake up

i'd like to think so... but the restraining order is still in effect so that does make it alot more complicated...

Sure, only when the ex-lover comes out of the closet. Obviously you can't change genders so the whole question of re-igniting the flame for both parties becomes non-existent and a friendship can work.

Yes, but it requires the person who was broken up with, not the person who did the breaking up, to be TOTALLY over his or her ex.

I believe that it is possible if enough time has passed between the two people and there are no feelings of being "in love" anymore.

Depends on how the people broke up and how mature they are.
