Depends what you are nervous about. If it is a confidence issue keep telling yourself that you will be fine take deep breaths etc Stop been negative replace neg thoughts with positive thoughts. If its a presentation keep practising in front of a mirror. If its people act confident=feel confident. Most of all keep putting yourself out of your comfort zone do something that scares you every day and you will know you can do anything.
Of course, the basics -- get in front of people regularly, like being a reader at church. <br />
But here is one better -- get a copy of The Four Hour Work Week by Timmothy Ferris (it's been out awhile, so used copies abound). Look at the end of the chapters for the exercises. Do the exercises.
Speaking in front of 10 people isn't difficult at all, as long as you know what you're talking about. Just pretend that they all have those Woody Allen glasses on with the fake giant nose and the mustache, and go out there and have a good time.<br />
Remember that they didn't come there to look at you... They came for the information that you have, and it's sort of selfish to be thinking about yourself when the whole purpose is to get your message across. Good luck!

The best way to overcome nervousness is to practice whatever it is you are nervous about. For example, if you are nervous about giving a presentation, you should practice the presentation over and over again until you have it memorized. The more confident you are, the less nervous you will be.

xnax type drugs like ativan, valium work best. However you must also work to accept and figure out why you are nervous and eliminate the problem because these drugs can become addictive
im 100% paranoid and a nervous wreck so there is no solution stay in your room forever and be your own best friend but having a chick come to your room to mess around once and a while would help

good trick is to never look at your audience, pretend you are!! a lot of politicans believe it or not look and talk in front of a mirror before they give a speech and a barrister friend of mine does that all the time as he feels nervous as you do to speak in public, im sure you will get loads of other tips good luck
