Some people are born with an ear and voice for music. They usually do better with training. Even without the ear and voice a person can train and improve their singing, though.

Hmmmm. I think it is automatic, but voice training is complementary, depending on your goals.

You can learn, some people can just sing with little effort but for those who can't you have to put the time and effort and training in.
