Can we really count on our friends during our bad times?

... or they are just there when they needed you and during good times? Lately Im having bad times and seems that my friends are all turning their backs on me, they dont even reply to my sms and no return calls.... they are "too far" to be reached. Im not asking for anything but just knowing that they are there.... am I just over reacting and sensitive?

i have found that in my life 99% of friends have been fair weather ones.i'm 40 next year & can count my true friends on one hand,..actually one finger.i think that you have to be your own best friend,you have to look out for yourself.

pepto5	Posted Jul 25th, 2009 at 12:01PM nope, when things are really bad, the only person you can count on is yourself. DO NOT expect to be able to count on friends. I'm 36, when things go wrong I have found myself surrounded by friends that suddenly wanted to get in my pants. do not let anyone take advantage of your vulnerability. protect yourself. many times strangers will surprise you with acts of kindness ( strangers who know nothing about what's going on in your life) . there is goodness out there and suport, but not always where you'd expect it. take care.
