but i'd reflect on that dream if i were you - dreams you keep remembering are the most important ones - but don't expect other people to be able to explain it

It was very bizarre. I dreamt that I was a child and had a John Wayne Gacy-type clown dressed father that killed my siblings in front of me and I ran away to the neighbors but they didn't believe me, so they brought me back to my house. Gah!

it can disturb you... but PTSD usually last for years... it's associated with a real life physical element-- real life threatening situation/s... an having nightmares of those situations... you go into zombie mode mid day and replay the event... you always - perpetually want to talk about it, but at the same time can't verbalize it. ...

its a never ending haunt of your life 24/7... you can't escape it.. it's always on your mind.. in the subconcious... weighing on you... you're like 1/2 a person...

I was diagnosed PTSD for 5 years.... at first they thought it was bipolar disorder... even thought I was schizo for a while it's a very severe disorder

I didn't mean to make light of PTSD. This nightmare just woke me up with a panic attack.

I have no answer, but that's probably the best Q I've seen all week. Kudos!

I've had nightmares that made me feel terrible when I woke up and they were hard to shake off. I found out a link between those sort of nightmares and having acid reflux from eating spicy or fatty foods for dinner.

I think I need to stop watching scary movies. I love them, but they don't love my sleeping brain. :/
