Morphine, one of my favourite groups of the 90s who never hit the mainstream success they deserved. Sadly, the group ended when singer/bassist Mark Sandman died of a heart attack on stage.
"Honey White":
"Cure For Pain":
Shonen Knife are a Japanese band active since the late 1980s, arguably the most successful band outside the country. Their sound is a mix of Motorhead, ABBA, Iron Maiden, the Carpenters and the Ramones. And it works. Naoko Yamano is one of my top ten favourite guitarists.
"Brown Mushrooms":
"I Am A Cat":
"The KKK Took My Baby Away":
The Cramps were the progenitor of "psychobilly", a mix of rockabilly, surf and psychadelia, though they characterized themselves simply as 1950s rock and roll. They sadly came to an end when singer Lux Interior died of (again) a heart attack a few years ago. I wanted to BE Lux Interior. Poison Ivy is also on my list of favourite guitarists.
"Bikini Girls With Machine Guns":
"Elvis ******* Christ":
"The Creature From The Black Leather Lagoon":
Pig Destroyer-Towering Flesh: a twisted, yet contemplative song; read the lyrics.

Look up " Will you still Love me Tomarrow ? " I haven't heard it in so long until today , I remember when it waspopular , it was a great song of the late 50's , early sixties. Listen to the Bee Gee's and The Simond and Garfunkle , and close with John Lennon of course. I'm 67 , so I am a hippy from hte past, still smoke however I get it from a clinic in California."
