Can you hear the buzz?

Whenever anything is switched on at the power eg. a tv or a dvd player, but they are turned off by the remote, I can hear a high pitched squeal coming from them. My parents think I'm crazy, but I can sleep or be near things if they're plugged into power.
If I pull out the plugs (or turn off the power switch), it goes away.
Am I crazy?

I've heard it too when the tv can sometimes even be off yet it makes a squeel so high pitched it sounds like it's comming from inside your head.

I can also hear bats and those supoosedly soundless dog whistles & i can smell lightning before it comes & i don't consider myself mad - just very tuned in, lol. Rated: +1Vote for this!
Inominatrix	Posted Aug 20th, 2009 at 6:38AM Yes, since I was a child I'd always been able to hear that steady high-pitched squeal coming from a television that's on, and it still sometimes drives me nuts. Doesn't help when it's on mute. Especially at night, I can also hear when our neighbors are watching TV even when the volume's turned down low. Rated: +1Vote for this!
